Metric’s latest video for their single “Gimme Sympathy”, off of their new release Fantasies (out April 14th) features a poppy hook, and a video that loses the grit and grunge we’ve come to expect.  Despite the lyrics talking about staying unknown, the track feels like it’s closer to what mainstream radio could actually put on the waves.

I can feel it in my bones

Gimme sympathy

After all this is gone

Who would you rather be: The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

Oh seriously

You gotta make mistakes

You’re young

Come on baby play me something, like “Here comes the sun”
