WHAT IS THIS?  ALL OF IT?

I don’t think anyone in the states really knows why everyone across the pond is finding the duo JEDWARD so fascinating – fascinating enough that projected sales of their first single (cover) “Under Pressure” ft. the one and only Vanilla Ice is predicted to take the #1 spot on the charts next week.  They can thank their appearance on X-Factor, where they managed to stay in the competition longer than they needed.  Everyone took notice, including electronic-synth-pop master Calvin Harris, who decided to bum-rush the stage during one of JEDWARD’s X Factor appearances, with a pineapple on his head.  Check out the slow motion video here:

I guess they’re the Sanjaya of American Idol, packaged as identical Irish twins…or you can read the UK’s Times for their take on the conspiracy theory  behind the success – I meant when I called them a phenomenom.

This is not a joke.  They are not a joke.  I just lost 3:44 minutes of my life watching their new video, which also features Vanilla Ice, and a part of me is okay with that because it’s just ridiculous enough to make it entertaining.

Oddly enough and unsure why, according to Wikipedia, their real names are John Paul Henry Daniel Richard Grimes and Edward Peter Anthony Kevin Patrick Grimes.    Freaks!

Okay, now I’ll go back to stories about good bands over the age of 17.  Sorry for derailing.

A follow-up to his debut which had the catchy “Acceptable in the 80s” among other great tracks, Harris returns with his sophormore album, out April 14th.

The disco-infused style already pops in his first single “I’m Not Alone.”

Check out the trippy video below.
